The POD

You try getting a good picture with 4 adults, 2 toddlers, and 1 baby....

Spring is here!

Hooray for warm weather!

New patio furniture on our new patio!

Soccer anyone?

Emma's many outfits

Having a girl is fun!  Especially with the amount of close Uncle Eric, Aunt Amy and the girls have given us!

Okay, but truthfully I don't spend EVERY day changing Emma's outfits - she just spits up a lot so it is a necessity.  :)

Time with "MA"

Gavin is very good at assigning nicknames to people.  Aunt Kristin is Kiki, Uncle Daren is DaBa, and now Gramma is "MA".  And, yes, he says it in a way that only capital letters can express.  We had a great time with MA and were very, very sad to see her go.

Ma made the boys peanut butter and jelly sandwiches...Gavin tends to eat sandwiches inside out.

Week 2-3

Emma is growing like a weed!  I swear she changes on an hourly basis and is looking less newborn and more baby-ish.  She is weighing close to 8 pounds now.  Gavin is still a great big brother, though I call him a Great Dane puppy because he just doesn't know his own strength or size.  He had his first hair cut last weekend and now looks like a little boy!

Gramma Debbink is here this week and has earned a new name from Gavin.  He now refers to her only as MA and loves to continually say, "Hi Ma".  "Ma"'s arrival couldn't have come at a better time as Emma developed a small bout of reflux, which has led to less sleep than the first week.  Thank goodness for extra help for sleep deprived moms!

THE boys holding Emma....

Gavin then wanted to hold Owen.

Week 1

This time last week I was complaining to Jeff that I had nothing to do (it was spring break).  I don't have that complaint anymore.  :)  Life is pleasantly busy with our 2 kids (how weird does that sound?!).  Gavin still loves his baby sister and when he gets home from school, by-passes hugs from mom to go straight to Emma.  Gavin transitioned with Owen this week into the early preschool room at school - unbelievable that the boys are already getting ready for preschool!  Emma continues to do well.  She seems to be a night owl and has her best sleep around 8 a.m...thank goodness for daycare so that I too can get my best sleep at that time!
